Established in 1983 in Copenhagen, Denmark by Kjeld Wennick. In 1999 the label's parent company, Mega Scandinavia A/S was acquired by Edel Music AG. Two years later the label was merged with the Danish Edel label to form Edel-Mega Records. Mega Records' best known group was Ace Of Base, which sold nearly 30 million albums worldwide.
