b. 1941 Singer Marlene Sai had her first LP in 1959. She performed at Carnegie Hall in 2008 and still does occasional performances. 2004: Winner of a Nā Hōkū Hanohano Lifetime Achievement Award under the auspices of the Hawaiʻi Academy of Recording Arts.
