Collection: Deborah Washington

Profile:

Disco singer
She released two albums in 1978 and in 1979, at the height of disco in the US. One of her biggest hits came in 1978 with a cover of the Holland-Dozier-Holland song [url=http://www.discogs.com/Deborah-Washington-Love-Shadow-Standing-In-The-Shadow-Of-Love/release/1236958"Standing In The Shadow Of Love"[/url originally recorded by Four Tops in 1967. In 1983 she tried to re-boot her career with covers of the Holland-Dozier-Holland songs [url=http://www.discogs.com/Deborah-Washington-Nothing-But-Heartaches-Nowhere-To-Run/release/1345763"Nothing But Heartaches" and "Nowhere To Run"[/url, originally hits by The Supremes and Martha Reeves & The Vandellas in 1965, but disco was long gone and she failed to impress the audiences.
