US funk group formed in 1974 in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Early sessions with producer [a136135 resulted in the band being signed to [l11358 in the summer of 1975, and releasing '[m=132484' (#15 R&B / #69 pop), which was sampled often in the hip hop era. The group eventually released 8 albums for RCA. Other hits include '[m=446697' (#14 R&B) and '[m=189622' (#15 R&B).
The group disbanded in 1983 after their final album [m=593599 failed to take off in the charts.
